There are two rumors about Yahoo Indonesia, job cuts and office closures. Both are equally uncomfortable, but reportedly with one reason. Sales were not as expected.
Initially this news blows from Yahoo plans to streamline a number of offices in Budapest, Hungary and Jordan. In fact, some employees in India are invited to join to California, before finally closed as well.
"We recently will conduct an operational review which proposes changes to the way our team is structured and businesses in the Middle East region. It is part of our efforts to streamline operations in the region and realign resources and investments by setting up Yahoo's business in region on a sustainable growth path, "said Yahoo VP Asia Pacific, Yvone Chang, as quoted from Tech Crunch, Tuesday (04/11/2014).
From the closing of that, the wind was blowing up to the news of the region. Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam is that the office will be closed or job cuts.
The reason is almost the same as the cuts in Europe and the Middle East region, sales did not reach the target. When pruning occurs at least 50 employees will be laid off Yahoo Indonesia.
