Why rock musicians often die young?

The notion that rock musicians usually die young is true. This is evidenced in a recent study in Australia.

Although most of the rock star is not included in the "27 club" whose members on average die at that age, such as Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, or Jim Morrison, but the rock musician is died faster than the average person .

In this study, researchers looked at 12 665 deaths in the music industry since 1950 and found that male musicians on average only reached the end of his life of 50 years. While women usually live musicians to the early age of 60 years.

Compare that with the average age of death of American men and women around 75 years to 80 years, if not a musician. The study also meemukan that the rate of suicide, murder, and fatal accidents are the most significant determinants of mortality occurred in rock star compared to ordinary people.

"Of the seven decades of research, the popular musician's life span can be 25 years shorter than the US population," the researchers wrote. He also saw it is closely associated with lifestyles.

"The industry itself supports unusual behavior. The drug is regarded by musicians as something normal use before the show, and then do the party all night with alcohol and drugs," said the researcher.

In addition to lifestyle, stress factors while on tour is also a trigger. In fact, the world of musicians do not provide enough emotional support. The combination of all of it becomes a recipe for destruction.

Dream rock star at the top and all their psychological problems will be overcome with praise and billions of dollars. What they actually do because they feel empty and have to live a life where everyone is telling them what to do. People who are lonely are difficult to live long.
