2016 New Mercedes-Benz SLC-Class Spy Shots
Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class that has been in the market in its current form since the 2012 model year, but the latest version soon will arrive on the scene, and in line with Mercedes' new naming strategy will be classified as an SLC-Class.
Since this is just a mid-cycle update the car, the changes will not be too broad. Some of the changes that we can see today include a new rear bumper and a new exhaust tip design. More significant changes are expected as development continues, with the headlights, grille and front bumper all the possibilities to receive revisions of their own.
We also got to see some tweaks in the interior, with materials plusher and more advanced infotainment features are added.
In the US, the SLC should be in accordance with the three levels of powertrain lineup of the current SLK (SLK250, SLK350 and SLK55 AMG) although it is not clear what the machine will actually sit under the hood of each variant. It is possible variants of the Mercedes-AMG will adopt a new tuner twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8, which means that Mercedes-Benz will soon be without naturally-aspirated V-8 models in its lineup (when SLK55 AMG is equipped with a 5.5-liter V -8 rated at 415 horsepower).
The main rival will be the BMW Z4 and the all-new 2016 Audi TT due out early next year.
Look for SLC which will be revealed late next year or early 2016, and stay tuned for updates while.
