The drive system - Efficient driving pleasure: electric six-cylinder engine with four-cylinder fuel consumption
torquey: The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class offers modern turbodiesel with three levels of power output. The 2.1-liter four-cylinder with direct injection common-rail available with an output of 100 kW (136 hp), 120 kW (163 hp) and 140 kW (190 hp). The power plant, designated internally OM 651, has proven itself in almost all car models of the brand of the A-Class to the S-Class. Has been further developed specifically for use in the V-Class. Three engines and three body lengths

It is available in three levels of output power: as V 200 CDI with 100 kW (136 hp), V 220 CDI with 120 kW (163 hp) and 250 V BlueTEC with 140 kW (190 hp). Because the two-stage turbocharging and many other measures, (see "System drive" section) V 250 BlueTEC with a peak torque of 440 Newton meters has many attractive strength and agility as a forerunner six-cylinder diesel - but much lower consumption.
The second line of equipment will be available in three body lengths: short wheelbase of 3200 millimeters and a short rear overhang overhang length of 800 millimeters or 1045 millimeters, and with a wheelbase of 3430 millimeters long and 1,045 millimeters long rear overhang.
