Frozen cat came to life again
A miracle occurred in a small kitten yellowish. He survived after suffering hypothermia and freezing because under the snow temperature - 12 degrees Celsius in Denver for a few hours.
This cat was given no name Elsa due to its ability to survive after freezing. Elsa name is taken from the Disney movie titled Frozen who suffered the same fate.
Previously, Elsa frozen brought to Denver Dumb Friend League to be saved. "He was limp, his eyes closed and not shivering," said Dr. Kasey Carter, one of the veterinarians at the shelter, quoted by ABC News. "You could feel a kind of chill that comes from it (the cat)."
Megan Rees, a spokesman at the shelter said that he and his staff was not sure if Elsa is still alive or not.
Shelter staff tried to save Elsa. They issued a hair dryer to warm fur. Elsa was also placed on a heating pad and also provide gloves to warm his feet. Elsa injected with warm, warm IV and wrapped with a big teddy bear and a warm blanket of air flow from the tube.
"We just keep it continues to warm," said Rees.
After an hour of warming, Elsa began to move his body slowly. "He started to move on its own. We immediately put some food in front of him and he immediately ate it. It was a little greedy," said Carter.
Now, Elsa condition improved and stabilized. These conditions far when Elsa began discovered the day before. He showed some signs of improvement, body temperature begins to rise and the sugar content also began to rise.
Rees said, it's like a miracle. A small cat like Elsa is very difficult to survive from hypothermia. Current safety ratio was small.
"They are so small and fragile to experience this. It's hard to imagine a kitten who still live in very cold weather in that period. It is a miracle that he survived," he said.
Now waiting for the owner Elsa shelter staff to pick him up. If not, this magical cat will be adopted.
